On New Year's Eve..

The most interesting thing happened during a DotA game.

After missing a Ancient Apparition ultimate that could've gotten me a double kill.

'FUCK ME! HARD!'
'No, wait.'
'That came out wrong.'

Gawd I am vulgar.

Heavy Balls

Met up with: Randall, Zong, Merrill, Thomas, Jon Wei.

We met up at Bukit Batok MRT. Went to West Mall to eat at BK and then proceeded to Civil Service Center to go play 2 games of bowling. Thomas won 1st game with.. 76 or something. I won 2nd game with some score like 102. In the end I won with total highest score, but considering I'm the only one who took formal training (except Thomas), I really suck.

After that nothing eventful. Went to waste time at some Beauty World or something, then Jon Wei and Randall went off and I followed Merrill, Zong and Thomas to a bus stop. They took 154, I think, went to Zong's house and I took 74 - 105 home.

Overall, I only enjoyed the bowling and not cause I won. The rest of the day was damn meh, I didn't even play for more than 20 minutes against Randall, and had like 5-6 quick short matches. I enjoyed myself but really, wasted too much time.

Hm.. probably the last outing before school starts again.
Still waiting for my Angel Taiga.

EOY 2009

I don't have a very 'good' opinion to believe, since I was only there for a good wholesome 30 minutes, but I gotta say, that sucked. When I went in, I was pretty excited and could only see a small little part of the hall, or so I thought. When I went in, I was like What The F-

I can't believe that they said it was 25% bigger than last years space, in my opinion it was 25% smaller. They didn't use the little corners either, though I didn't bother to go find the stage where the cosplay competitions would take place later today.

Most of all, there were only 3 shops that sold any anime figures at all - probably the most screwed up thing for me. Last year, there were quite a few shops with figures, or at least the shops with figures were big (like the huge one with swords and shit too). Here we have, 3 small shops, one has a TWO figmas, THREE nenderoids and a Asuka figure. The other has THREE nendoroids. The last one I can't even remember. I really got sian after that, also because I was alone.

The other shops all were art shops which I couldn't really buy anything from or had no use for the stuff they had on sale. Like what the heck am I going to do with a button.

In the end, all I bought was a rather used-looking $18 Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu fanbook. After actually walking away with it and spending time looking at it (pretty pictures!), I wish I didn't buy it either. It's a bit dirty, very old and slightly bent at corners.

Sigh. EOY has failed me. Not that the shows that were up seemed very interesting either.

I think it's more of a cosplay event than anything.

avast! Antivirus

Can burn in hell. I downloaded it in the hopes of removing the BSODs that I keep getting from certain sites. Originally I only got it from rapidshare, then uploadmirrors, then when I got it from mediafire I decided I'd do something about it. So I got avast! Antivirus and installed it, and let it scan my computer and do its magic.

I did not expect the bloody thing to completely screw my computer. It cleaned a lot of files, but when I opened up Windows, it kept freezing anytime I did anything.

In the end, I uninstalled all 3 of my Antiviruses (ESET, Ad-Aware and avast!) and now my computer is fine. Need a recommend for a nice, totally free Antivirus that is not AVG.

Hell of a Day

I woke up at 11, and was supposed to challenge someone on Ad Hoc Party. So I ate my breakfast, showered and was ready at my PS3 around 12:07. Found him, then he told me he was occupied, and left. Then, sadface. I fought someone who I thought was playing crappy on purpose because of lag (he spammed Bardiche) and then he afk'd during the character selection for the next match so I left. Sadface, again.

Nothing interesting happened. My dad bought 3 packets of Nasi lemak, but it only had the fish and ikan bilis inside, and chilli. So my mom fried an egg and we ate that. Later on, at 5, we went out for ramen at Bishamon! at Great World City. Ate my usual, except I tried putting extra noodle and corn. Seriously, it felt like the amount of noodles doubled. Was damn full after that. Went to the super market but they had no Milk Tea. FFF-

Yeah. My life is boring. Though I did have a headache for like the whole day, it sucked. Also, I got Flay and Pamela in my Mana Khemia party. YES! PAMELA!

2. When Ryuuji dresses up as Santa and goes to Taiga's house in Toradora!
3. Toradora! Ending Scene

Top 3 Sad Anime Scenes:
1. When Nagisa dies in Clannad Afterstory
2. Scene after the above mentioned in Toradora!
3. Ending scene of Code Geass R2

Top 3 Most Epic Anime Scenes:
1. "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE!?" from Gurren Lagann

That's it for now. By the way, my favourite non-KEY ending so far is Bakemonogatari's Episode 12 ending. I count that as the 'end' of the anime.

A New Beginning

As I wrote in the finale of my previous blog, otakusaurus.blogspot.com was used as a holding grounds for my year 2 and year 3 memories. Though it was lacking some events because I was either too tired or pissed off to write about them, they still hold many other memories that I'll go back and read about one day.

Hopefully this blog will serve an equally important purpose, and although the name of the blog as well as the URL is kind of cliche'd Singaporean act cool attention whore instead of a strange, kiddy, laughable URL like otakusaurus, there's still meaning in it. It's like, you'll be at the event I'm writing about, you'll see me smiling and laughing, but you won't know what's going on in my head, and those things going on in my head will be written about here. The story you didn't know.

Well actually it was inspired by Bakemonogatari's ED, 'Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari' which translates to my blog title. I wanted to put up a few anime girls in the banner but I got lazy, not to mention my graphics skills aren't the best. I'll be making a second post in a few minutes after I post this.
