Prelim Results, Study Order

English: 66%
Comments: Not bad, considering I didn't even get the format for situational writing correct. 31/50 for my Comprehension and Summary, 22/30 for my Composition and 16/30 for my Situational Writing. Assuming I had gotten 21 for Situational Writing with the correct format, I'd get A2 at least.

Elementary Mathematics: 56% (+5 moderation, makes this 61%)
Comments: No idea. I keep either making careless mistakes or just flat out not understanding the question - it's too stupidly simple that it's complicated, oxymoron much. For example, I know how to calculate for interest questions, but I simply don't understand the goddamn question.

Additional Mathematics: 67% (+10 moderation, makes this 77%, my only A1)
Comments: Awesome! 3rd highest in class for Additional Mathematics - surprisingly my best subject despite being my worst one last year. Lucky I didn't drop it.

Chemistry: 44% (+5 moderation, 49%, fuck)
Comments: Well, shit. I should've studied more. I can't drop this subject for sure.

Biology: 62%
Comments: See Chemistry comments.

Geography Core: 53%
Comments: I actually don't care, I hate this subject. I should've gone History Core Lit. Elect.

History Elective: 54%
Comments: I didn't do SBQ. Lol. 19/25 for Essays, 8/25 for SBQ - because I skipped the last 2 SBQ questions.

Social Studies: 56%
Comments: I'm pretty bad at this subject.. must mug!

Best L1R5: EL(B3), Geog(C6), Combined Humans(C5), EMath(C5), AMath(B3) -> 26

Best L1R5 after Moderation: 23 (-3 from +15 marks total)

Hm.. looking at these results, I have to study the subjects in this order.

1. Chemistry (44%)
2. History Elective (54%)
3. Social Studies (56%)
4. Elementary Mathematics (56%)
5. Biology (62%)
6. Geography Core (53%)
7. Additional Mathematics (67%)
8. English (lolwut)

Mid-Prelims

No motivation to post, but anyway it's mid prelims now.

So far, I've done the History Elective exam, Social Studies exam, E Math and A Math Paper 1s, Chemistry Paper 2 and English. This means I have Geography Core, E Math and A Math Paper 2s, Biology Paper 1 and Paper 2, Chemistry Paper 1. Which isn't much left if I think about it, I won't be studying for either mathematics although I'll be doing a bit of practice. Geography... I'll just look through my notes a bit. As for Chemistry, I'll read through my guidebook and do a MCQ paper or 3 from my Ten Years Series. I'll study for Biology.

But that said, I've been pretty lucky so far. For my Social Studies exam, I was pretty sure the teachers were going to try and screw us lazy faggots who only studied Venice over, and they'd put it in the SBQ since it was pretty much confirmed it'd be in the examination. Who knew that they would end up putting it as one of the SEQ questions anyway, although the questions were relatively difficult compared to those from the other chapters. And why I'm lucky? Because despite thinking that Venice wouldn't come out, I studied it anyway. Thankfully I didn't study the Singapore topics, which I knew would come out, since one was in SEQ and the other was in SBQ.

Similiarly for History I decided that I'd just study one chapter and hope for the best - End of World War I. I didn't expect myself to be so lucky as to get that as an SEQ, and I'm also pretty damn lucky I didn't bother studying Naziism which was my other plan - they put that as SBQ. I skipped half of the SBQ questions though, I focused on the Essay and although I had some extra time left after finishing my History essays, my hand was too tired (literally couldn't properly hold the pen) to do any more writing.

Add. Maths was okay, I feel sorry for all those who studied (I didn't) and still ended up skipping more marks than I did. Darren was quite sad, but honestly I don't feel that sorry for him. Dornel, kinda. Joshua.. yeah.

I've been playing League of Legends recently, it's like an addiction. I play like 4 games a day (averaging 40 minutes each, shorter than DotA) and often play with Rael and his level 30 friends - although I have to say one of them is quite a dick to enemies and sometimes teammates. The game itself is fun, it's much more intense and faster-paced than DotA - something I haven't touched in awhile (already a week I think, last time I only played two games to appease Merrill and Jon Wei - the latter has already started playing LoL). However it's annoying that the teammates tend to either not talk or be uncooperative, usually both now that I think about it. Worst thing is, it'll be switching to the Garena servers soon and I expect many leavers when it transfers over.

Well, that's a long post.

Anime Summer

Watching Ookami-san, Amagami SS, Campanella, Highschool of the Dead, Strike Witches 2 and that OVA thing, Aki Sora: Yume no Naka.

Haven't posted in awhile, feels like I'm starting to lack the motivation to keep this up even to act as a diary of sorts. I don't particularly feel like typing all the shit out either since when I come home I just feel like relaxing and this isn't very relaxing.

GF'10, Holidays so far

I haven't actually studied yet.
The first week I decided I'd refrain from studying thanks to the Holiday Camp.
Well, I did study on Monday and a bit on Tuesday, but Wednesday and Thursday was GayFest'10 and on Friday, I had to go out until like 6 and I was pretty tired by the time I came back - I fell asleep really fast after coming home.

Anyway, GF'10 was fun. Playing tennis and all that shit was fun, going out with friends to eat was fun, it was a rather refreshing change from sitting there and playing MW2 (which I chose to sit out on by watching Durarara! after playing a few matches) or DotA or whatever. The next day I left kind of early compared to Dornel and Merrill, at 4:30pm.

I'm planning on buying a SOS-dan jacket. It'd be easier to wear in public and still shows the same thing of my person in general. Anyway, need to go to Popular and get an assessment book or five, also need to do A Math and Social Studies homeworks.

Good luck guys, have fun in your holidays. I doubt I'll make a post for the remainder of this holiday, unless something interesting happens.

Oh yeah, I had a dream about L4D where Singapore was being infected and on the way home from fetching me from a outing midway (because of the infection), my mom was infected. And I had to shoot her, the dream ends there. But that was outright traumatic, I woke up really messed up and disturbed. Maybe because the dream ended a few seconds after shooting my mom in the head, and then my gun (don't ask where I got that shit from) gets jammed and the taxi driver goes WTF.

CAMP!
Engrish!

Focus Camp is finally over, today was the last of it. With my return trip home, I bring a large pile of books - enough to cause me to fall backwards while carrying my bag. And that's only half of my books, I carry the other half with my hands. Going to have study quite a bit this holiday for the prelim examinations, I heard from Darren that people who get over 20 for their L1R5 will have it tough from The Big O.

Anyway, other things to look forward to this holiday?
- SOME RELATIVELY WELL-DESERVED R&R!
- FINISHING OFF FINAL FANTASY XIII
- BUYING NEW ASSESSMENT BOOKS FOR PRACTICE
- FINALLY BEING ABLE TO WAKE UP REALLY EARLY TO PLAY DISSIDIA

I'm looking forward to not having to go to school for awhile. Heh heh.

I thought I had a lot of things to say but I guess I'm wrong.

Cold Breath

I woke up pretty late today. I only got out of bed at 11, though I woke up earlier on at 8. Honestly, I didn't do much. I tried to do my homework for an hour or so, but I got really frustrated with the new Additional Mathematics topic homework, which is on Integration to find the Area of a Graph. After wrestling with the questions for nearly 50 minutes, I decided to put it away and do my Geography, but I guess from the frustration of Add. Maths, I couldn't take it. My willpower really sucks. Anyway, after that I just surfed the internet for a bit, and then played Maple Story until 4:20, when I started to feel really bad headaches and went to sleep. Woke up at 5 and went to school because of PLC dinner.

Apparently the damn thing starts only at 7:30, so I have no idea why they asked us to assemble at 5. Just kind of lazed around with Jerald and later on Thomas, watching people play soccer and almost getting hit like 4 times. And I don't mean the ball missed me, I mean I had to dodge out of the bloody way of a high speed ball.

Anyways, was walking home from Commonwealth MRT. I thought I could get to the next bus stop before the 105 bus came because I had no bag, and the 105 bus was coming only in 8 minutes as listed by the bus time board at the MRT station - if I got to the next bus stop, I could take almost 7 different buses straight home. Of course, karma decided to kick my balls and it started to rain VERY heavily half way through my walk. I had to run about 5 minutes in heavy rain, it was pretty fucked up in my opinion.

Ah, great DotA games today. Best one was the one where I played Techies, we were (or at least, I was) tearing up the game at first, but we had no hard carries. That was our biggest mistake, I suppose, we didn't end it early. Later on, Phantom Assassin and Sven on the other team got really fat, and the rest of them were also above average. Thanks to a lot of GREAT teamwork and effort put in by everyone, we finally managed to turn the tables in the end (they were at the point where PA could destroy our team in 2 hits if he critical'd, and Sven had 2 battlefuries - when combined with his stun, it was horrible). Honestly I thought we'd lose for awhile, but I figured we still had a chance if we fought well enough - and we did. So yippee.

Yeah.. blargh.

Holidays? Is that what they call it?

Term 2 and Semester 1 has ended, and it's time for the supposed Mid Year holidays. Well, for the IP and the rest of the school, it's pretty much a holiday - a time to slack and have fun. For Year 4 Express, it's time to hardcore and finally pull out those books and do them. We have focus camp for the first week of the holidays, where we go to school from 8 to 5 every day and do hard core studying, and for the following 3 weeks we have to continue to study because of the prelims on the second week of Term 3 - where everything from Year 3 to Year 4 is tested and is a monstrously large bulk of information to cramp into our heads.

I'll be studying too, of course, probably not as much as I keep thinking I should be - but I'm aiming to get an L1R5 of at most 18 for the prelims, which is of course a drop of 3 from the much easier Mid Year examinations which only covered Year 4 topics with the exception of Geography Core that also covered Year 3 topics.

Otherwise, I'll still be doing the usual everyday gaming, going out for Dissidia meets and whatnot. Hopefully I have the perseverance to properly pull through for once.

MYE2010: Revisited, and other resolutions and events

English: A2, 73%
Chinese: C6, 54%

E Math: C5, 57%
A Math: B4, 62%

Chemistry: C5, 56%
Biology: A1, 79%

Geography Core: B4, 60%
Social Studies: C5, 57%
History Elective: ??, 50%-60%

Best L1R5: 21
Average Score: 62.2%

I've seen my History grades but not the paper, so I can't remember. But I know it's in the Cs. My L1R5 was 32 last term, dropping by 11 is quite good I have to say, even though it's just thanks to a few subjects like Biology losing 4 points and English losing 1 point. Of course, I'll continue to study during the holidays, my aim for the prelims is below 15 for my L1R5. Don't really care about the average, but with an aim of 15, it has to be at least 65%.

Not that much has happened since my last post. I tried to organize a study group with my classmates (Dornel, Darren, Joel, Pavill, Edward). Darren, at first, completely misunderstood what I was trying to say although I did say it quite clearly. It went something like,

"Darren, do you want to do a study group every Friday?"
"What? I'm not free on Fridays. I have tuition."
"What time?"
"11 onwards"
"...But we're holding it in the early morning."
"But I can't. It's quite far."
"So we'll do it from 8-9:30 and you can leave after that."
"But I have tuition."
"..."

After that, I just didn't bother. Dornel also asked me whether I wanted to do a study group when I was going to ask him. Pavill is busy for every friday until the last one. Edward thinks we're jokes, and Joel is just kind of anti-social, doesn't want to meet up for a small 1 hour session at the school library. So I guess that means it's just pointless to try organizing something useful for my friends and myself in terms of studying, since everyone is an idiot.

Finished So.Ra.No.Wo.To the other day, a really nice anime, but it only starts getting story-related after the halfway mark. That's when it starts to get nice, the atmosphere of the anime turns from this light-hearted everyday lulz to a more deeper, darker, serious story involving elements of war like death and loss. Admittedly the ending was kind of abrupt, and the scenes for the ending war scene could have been done better, but overall it was fun to watch and I liked it.

Guess there isn't much to say left. I remember there was something else, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe later.

Mid Year Exams 2010

These are the results I've gotten so far:

English - A2 - 73.3

E Math - C5 - 57.67

Geography Core - B4 - 60

History Elective - D7 - Really bad, but can't remember

Social Studies - C5 to B3 - I saw it today but I didn't look closely. Can't remember.

Combined Humans - C6 - 51

Chemistry - C5 - 56

So basically I only have my Additional Mathematics and Biology papers left to wait for. I figure I'll get both by monday.

As it stands now, my L1R2 is already 11. The lowest I can get now is definitely 22+, which was my aim for this term anyway. Of all the exams, the only ones I can say I worked hard for are Geography and Chemistry, and I'm rather proud of passing both. Yeah, I know, it sounds really bad but about half my class failed Geography while only 11/28 passed Chemistry in my class, making me top 10 for Chemistry. I realize ranking myself amongst my class is useless, but some encouragement is nice.

I'm not quite sure what went so awfully wrong with Social Studies. Upon finishing, I thought I'd get a B3 at least but it seems I wrote off point or something. I'm waiting for the paper to be returned, probably during the next SS lessons. I was pretty sure I screwed up big parts of History though, taking a source to be something entirely different, but still not acceptable since Dornel made the same mistake as me and got much higher than me (after you change it to %). I am thinking that I should give special attention to these during the holidays, but there isn't a very easy way to train these two. Kind of annoying in that sense.

As for E Math, well, as usual I fucked up all the easy shit. I'm not that worried though, looking at the 2009 'O' Level paper, the standard for 'O's is almost Secondary One level.

A Math was a killer, everyone in my class agrees. Yes, all those failures at A Math were kicked out so these are actually the smart people. It was really devastating, most obviously with Darren. I had trouble and skipped a lot of questions, and at the 30-minute-left mark I had touched the end of the paper and hadn't done enough questions to even pass. But I managed to pull through, and answered about 38/60 marks worth of questions. Worst thing is, I could've gotten one more question but I just ran out of time as I was writing the last two statements. Biology was okay, I skipped an entire section C question (10/80 marks) so I might be a little fucked there, and probably no A. I'm assuming I'll pass though.

I'll be studying during the holidays for sure. I need to learn all the Secondary 3 A Math stuff as well as revise a lot of things. Kind of troublesome, I hope I can do it.

Foresight

I entered the exam period thinking I would work my hardest just so I could get good grades and have a bit of fun during the holidays but the only exam I've really worked hard for is Chemistry - which surprisingly has been the worst turn-out for all my exams so far. Of course, I'm not going to take this as 'not studying reaps better results' but it's just kind of frustrating that although I studied really hard for my Chemistry, I still ended up doing badly for it. It's not confirmed yet, but I have that really bad premonition, especially after comparing a few of my answers to my friends. All my other subjects have been okay, I might even get As for my Social Studies and English. Otherwise, it's all been normal and regular. I'm still heavily anticipating my results, I kind of have both a good and bad feeling for my English because during English today, Lisa Lai was talking to us and she was looking at me and smiling and was talking about someone who gave her a surprised and increased by a considerable few marks, but also one other person surprised her as well by going down a few marks.

Hopefully that wasn't me, for the latter part anyways.

After tomorrow, there is only Biology and Additional Mathematics. I'm going to study my ass off for Biology because Terence already mentioned dropping Biology once last term, and I have to get at least Bs. As for Additional Mathematics, I'm mostly worried about the later topics as well as proving which I have gotten rusty on, which kind of sucks because I went from horribad last year to really good at the start of this year in proving identities.

In other news, Darren has been really pissing me off lately. He really doesn't know when to stop doing certain things, like I have told him several times to not offer his food to me, especially with a stupid whimpering as he does it, and that if I want it I'll just ask it from him. But he keeps fucking doing it, at first I was okay with it but now it's just outright annoying. He also doesn't think before he speaks and says the absolute stupidest things, and I'm entirely serious when I say me and Dornel can be talking about one topic, and Darren will go 'HUH? WHAT DO YOU MEAN? DIDN'T YOU MEAN..' and relate it to a whole 'nother fucking topic. And I get incredibly pissed off because he makes no sense. Today he seemed pissed off with me though, which is fine in my opinion since that's a nice refreshing change from the whimpering pathetic form he usually is in. Though if his reason for being pissed off at me is because I didn't want to lend him my PSP or ask Dornel to lend him his PSP, then he's a dumbass either way.

As for the anime side of life, I'm waiting for May 26th when the Angel Beats OP and ED will arrive. I really like those songs, if only KEY didn't like to release their singles so late after the start of all their animes. Or is it the artiste's fault? Well, can't beat Bakemonogatari's single release 7-8 months after the anime stopped.

If there's anything else I'm looking forward to that isn't related to anime, it's the Dissidia meet-up on Saturday and the inhouse DotA match I have on Friday. Those will pretty much be my breaks for the Biology studying, and both sound like an awful lot of fun.

My Class

Well, today I'll be studying from about 12 noon to 5~6PM, play one game, then go for tuition from 7:00 to 9:00 and then resume last minute revision and relax for a bit, so I have about 24 minutes left before my study period starts, and I shall use this time to do an obligatory blog post. :)

So, anyway. The topic for this post is about my class.

My class is separated in to several groups. The first is the ruggers - the hardcore muscle people, and wannabes. The second is the more laid-back sports people. The third is the really weird and kind of quirky group, and finally the rich fags.

Let's look at the ruggers group first. This includes people like Vanzino, Ethan, Winson, Alex, etc. Actually, upon first inspection you'd think their a bunch of stuck-up jerks, which I have to admit they are sometimes. But out of the 4 I mentioned, the only one who I think really deserves the title of a stuck-up jerk is Ethan. If he's acting nice to you and you're not a rugger or sports person, he just wants something from you. Otherwise he'll be an asshat, his apologies mean nothing. Well, I guess Ethan fits under the wannabe muscled people, as well as Keshav. Those two are the only ones I'd give the title of jerk to. Keshav just doesn't know what he shouldn't say, and when he should just shut up and stay away. I'm never lending my stapler to him again.

The casual laid-back sports group is like, Benson, Chriss, Surendran, Daniel, Lester. These guys are just generally okay, nothing much to be said about them. They don't do anything noticeably wrong, they just kind of go with the groove and know when to stop following the stupidity of the ruggers.

Eh, the weird and quirky group obviously consists of me, Darren, Dornel, Edward, Joel, Joshua, Pavill, Andrew, people like that. There are some of us who are more famous amongst the class, Joel for being the strict and merciless Class Chairman last year, Edward for singing a song on FaceBook or something, Andrew for being a total dumbass, Dornel for being a Eurasian. We mostly stick together in school and stay away from the other people, except for Dornel who has no choice because the sucker is in a corner dominated by sports people. And Joshua, who chooses to go there. I don't think we really affect anyone though, Winfred told me that no one really cares about people like me in the class (so I guess that includes Darren to a certain extent too, but he's more approachable to the ruggers I think) because I don't interact with anyone but my own friends, so no one dislikes me but no one really likes me either. Oh, but I think some of the sports people find me hard to approach or something. The other day, they were discussing about something and they were like "Go ask Sheep lah, I'm sure he knows the answer" and then it was like "No, no, don't want to ask him." Either they think I'm a dumbass, or they think I'm not approachable. ):

The last one is the rich fags. Marcus, Shaun Seah, Winfred. It's like, what is there to say? Winfred is okay, he's sort of mature but he's sort of bloody stupid at the same time, too arrogant for his own good. Marcus is a total immature whiner bitch, but he's got a decent heart where his friends are concerned, not so much for people he doesn't know - and this is where his comments will piss me off, he doesn't think about the people he's commenting on. Shaun Seah is a total pathetic loser, he tries to fit in to like every circle. He's a wannabe cool rugger or some shit, he badly tries to imitate the ruggers sarcastic responses and all that (e.g. "HAHA! OK! OK!") and does it so badly it makes me laugh. I think he needs to buck up and be himself - and if that's really his true personality then I feel sorry if he ever gets a wife. The world is fucked up where he is concerned.

Not much to say, but I think this is how it goes.

Hardcore Muscle and the Wannabes: Louis, Ethan, Keshav, Winson, Vanzino, Marc

Casual Sports People: Ryan, Jing Long, Aaron, Shaun Ou, Lester, Surendran, Daniel, Chriss, Benson, Lester

Quirky, Weird: Nicholas, Darren, Andrew, Edward, Pavill, Joel, Timothy, Dornel, Joshua

Rich Fags: Marcus, Shaun Seah, Winfred

If I had to put hybrids, Shaun Seah can go into the Wannabes (a very pathetic one) and Keshav can go into the rich fags group. Benson and Chriss can be considered Weird and Quirky, but they hang out with the Casual Sports people more.

If this ever gets found out, I don't think I'm coming back from school in one piece.

My life is so screwed

I can't sit down and just study, seriously. I brought home my Biology textbooks to seriously study this weekend, but the only thing I learned is some little interesting bits about Mitosis and Meiosis. So, I think I'm really screwed in the future. Note to self, get a nice job like game tester or anime watcher. Well, anyway, since I did watch a lot of anime this weekend, might as well make my post on that.

I recommend Angel Beats, Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou and Working!! for this season's anime. The first one is a comedy with serious moments, similiar to Clannad but more comedy with somewhat out of place serious moments that are meant to make you cry. The latter two are funny, full on comedy. Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou is an ecchi comedy, kind of like To Love-Ru but more comparable to Chrono Trigger. Working!! is like.. think Lucky Star - in a restaurant - with more exaggerated characters. I'll compare it to Minami-ke, although I haven't actually watched that yet.

Yeah, heh.

Kimi ni Todoke

After 3 Goblin Techies game (all of which I won, though in the first two the entire enemy team left) and a few moments of chatting about Dissidia, I decided to finish off one of the anime series that I had started but hadn't finished watching yet, I'm sure you all can guess by the title of this post. It's a shoujo manga-adapted anime, and is an award-winning manga in the romance category. If I'm not wrong, the manga won several other titles too. Anyway, basically it's a romance anime.

I loved the anime totally, seeing as I like watching romance and cutesy high school romance stuff. I also liked the ending which didn't end off like directly saying they were a couple, but it had pretty powerful implications.

But there's not much to say, I recommend it to anyone who isn't going to come back to me and tell me it's for sissies or whatever - although I know this may be giving some of you faggots ideas.

NO ITS HIS FAULT, REALLY!

Today was more or less usual, except that our teacher didn't come during Chemistry. At that time I was rushing a piece of Chinese homework so I didn't have to stay back that day, and the oh-so-very-smart sports people decided it'd be a great idea to plug in their iPhone to the speakers and boom music in the classroom until the whole room was shaking. I figured we'd be scolded by the teacher next door soon enough, so I just put on my earphones and played music really loudly. Expectedly, Keith Tan burst into the room about 10 minutes later saying he already gave us 10 minutes grace and enough was enough, and took the iPhone and walked away after screaming at everyone.

Normally, I wouldn't care. The usual idiocy from the usual idiots. HOWEVER!

As soon as Keith Tan left, all the sports people (save for those stone or cool, calm ones like Daniel and Surendran) started blaming each other. Now this is fucking retarded, I thought they were the group that took the shit that hit them together as a group of friends, but as a group when they get fucked together for something ENTIRELY STUPID like SHAKING THE CLASSROOM BY BOOMING MUSIC THROUGH THE SPEAKERS, they start blaming each other.

I was pissed off, to say the least. I started insulting them right in front of them, but they couldn't hear me because they were arguing so, uh, 'passionately'.

Stupid fucking dumbtards.

Time to put this bitch down

I guess my time in my CCAs is up. So as it stands, I leave Drama as an, according to Zong, 3 to 4 star committed member while I leave Scouts as a Advanced Scout Standard Patrol Leader. This means that instead of going for CCA every Wednesday and Friday and possibly random other days, I will be going for remedials and going home to study hard for my O'Levels! Hooray! This means so much to me. I have yet to ask the teachers if I am able to get 2 CCA points, I know I have one in Scouts but am not sure about how many points I can get from Drama, hopefully 2.

April 20, 2010

Well, I guess there are different kinds..

I was kind of wrong. Young girls don't have to put on perfume, seriously, their natural smell is nice enough. On the other hand, old women really need to put on perfume. I sat next to a woman on the bus that looked like 50 to 60 years old, and she smelled really.. erm, old.

Well, that aside, the only interesting thing was me and Darren going to Biology remedial after school today. As usual it was a 'private' session with Terence since me and Darren are the only two who really bother going, kind of like how we were the only two or three people including Dornel that went to Yoon Lay Beng's Additional Mathematics remedial. Anyways, I spent most of the 40 minutes there laughing, I even started crying from laughter at one point when Darren was laughing at Terence's face and Terence was like 'Yeah, well, why don't I just give you a picture so you can laugh at it all day, huh?' and then he makes a stupid face like NYEEEEEH. Then I laugh so hard I bend over holding my stomach. Also, there were 2 girls sitting next to me (I was sitting in the middle of the bench so when a IB teacher and two IB girls came, they ended up sitting next to me) and Terence decided to make us laugh so hard we must've looked like idiots. When we left the area, the teacher looked at us like we were both rude and insane.

..But that's all. Not very interesting, huh?

Oh. I found out that I have a neighbour on the 10th floor whom is a Secondary School girl. I didn't know I had any neighbours around my age.

Kyou

So I went out at 8:30 to meet up with a friend from the DissidiaForums at Ang Mo Kio station, because I had also said I'd go with Darren to Xinmin Secondary's school carnival with him or whatever. So I went there and played for 2 hours, our level is quite even though I think hes a bit higher. Anyway, me and Darren were supposed to meet at 11, go there, and I'd leave by 1230 but he came a whole hour late, and I was kind of pissed because he took it all lax (he needs to take 6 fucking stops, to get to Ang Mo Kio, and I take 18. How can he possibly take an hour if he wasn't taking it all easy), and didn't care about me waiting there. If I wasn't playing Dissidia, I would've gone home. Anyway he begged me for awhile but eventually I just went home.

Kind of bored, waiting for my tournament match to happen. Enemy is a real good Exdeath.

Everytime I walk past a girl...

...I smell her scent. Like, every girl has one and their usually not very different. But I got to say, girls smell nice naturally, why they put perfume is beyond me. I think perfume smells absolutely horrible and is just a vicious invasion of the nostrils.

That aside, I'm on something like a 8 game losing streak and its pretty depressing for me, I've played every hero I thought I was good at, and the only one that I succeeded with was Techies, obtaining a Soul Ring, Bottle, Boots and Aghanims by 23 minutes. I lost that game anyway, thanks to a weak team. Otherwise, most of the games losing was actually highly dependent on my failures. For example, I played Drow, like, 2 days ago thinking that since I was good at farming and Drow is a farm-reliant hero, there is no way I could possibly fail that badly. Nah, I was wrong. Thanks to the combined faggotry of my unexplainable host lag as well as me forgetting the animation for Drow's attacks, I was totally underfarmed and by end game I was only 7-12 or something, with me being 0-7 early game.

I wonder why I suck so badly sometimes.

Nothing interesting, actually. Wish I'd stop sucking at Guilty Gear XX too.

Singapore Gamer Community

Singapore's second most outrageous gaming community is probably the DotA community. This can be entirely attributed to the fact that you can actually hack in DotA, and these hacks directly affect other players unlike hacks in MapleStory or the like where it only indirectly affects you. The most outrageous, I believe, is the MapleStory community, not because of hacks but because of the sheer stupidity. Everyday you can watch people spend money buying @Cash-bought megaphones spamming insults at each other, its quite ridiculous how the amount of money in each persons pocket is tantamount to how powerful they are in MapleStory. And the only time I heard some sensible person say "I'm not going to waste money arguing with you," the reply he got was something along the lines of "No money dun talk lol nub!".

Absolutely. Ridiculous.

Well, obviously I'm here to talk about the DotA community and Singapore Gamers in general, because who gives two shits about the people who play MapleStory and take it seriously to the point where they spend money just to insult other people, amirite?

So. Two things to talk about. Maphackers as well as those who accuse, and the senseless flamers.

I can deal with people delaying the game, it just makes me go do something else. I can deal with people sucking, some people just aren't good at the game but want to have fun, sure - though if you're doing it on purpose then you deserve to rot in a pit. I think the worst kind of player in DotA is definitely the hacker. The hacker outranks every other stupid person in Singapore, solely because hes playing a game not to have fun, not to get better at it, not to be good at something. Whether he realizes it or not, hes playing for the sole reason to build his ego by pushing others down under him. I absolutely hate these, I mean, it's not like it'll affect your life and that's why you got to cheat. It's a freaking game, come on, if you get serious and improve at it, the satisfaction will be much better than if you just hacked to victory.

It's disgusting - that's what I think.

Another thing related to hackers is those that randomly accuse others of hacking. Well, this is more of a spur of the moment addition since I was just accused of maphacking in my last game. The person accusing me of maphacking? I believe it was the entire enemy team, consisting of a Bane Elemental, Techies, Pudge and Rikimaru. With that team, there are many reasons as to why they could say I was maphacking. Dodging mines? Dodging surprise hooks? The first accusation was totally random. I was in middle lane farming, and because Pudge had gone to top rune, I was hanging towards the right side of the middle lane river so that I couldn't be hooked from the hill on Sentinel side mid lane. I was then accused of maphacking. Following that was a series of accusations involving Pudge being invisible and stalking one of our players towards our inner tower, and we just happened to be there because we were defending, and he said that 'Wow! You all just happened to be there waiting for me!' Yeah, no shit. We were defending your own push, dumbass.

Anyway, the final thing I want to talk about is the senseless flamers.

Actually, there's not much to say. Just... if you're going to insult, have some basis, yeah?

Railgun

Definitely worth a watch.
Last episode put a smile to my face several times.

I realise its usually the last part of an anime series that I remember why I love anime - the ending is almost always satisfying (thankfully I didn't have to deal with the Code Geass cliffhanger) and leaves a big smile on your face or happy thoughts.

Railgun - 8/10

Had quite a few filler episodes, and the ending was a bit cheesy but it was really great to watch nonetheless.

Ridiculous

So, I come back from Scouts ready for a nice, long relaxing internet session, and I chance upon a dumbass in the Dissidia Forums. And I quote,

Okay, stop giving me reasons to hate everyone here.

This isn't serious business or anything, but to see you guys participate in the saimoe league is quite possibly the most weaboo and pathetic thing you have done yet.

SERIOUSLY. Moe is killing the industry. I'm sure the "moe bubble" burst awhile ago, but it's still here for awhile because asswipes like the lot of you can't let this go. It's either a "joke" you entertain or something you actually sit there and enjoy . You enjoy the boring moe crap? Ok, stop liking bad stuff. Please. The lot of you should already know moe is crap. SHIT LIKE THIS IS KILLING THE INDUSTRY.

Oh yes.

PLEASE DIE.

Retarded much? I don't get how people can even say shit like this with no actual argument or reason. It's just like 'u gaiz liek dat shit? lulz nubz lame shits go screw ur mumz'. And so, as a true anime lover, I replied with:

Sorry, have to reply. Feel the urge to protect what I like, especially since he's effectively calling all the characters and animes in Saimoe jokes.

...Pathetic? Weaboo? Tell me now, is voting for characters we like in a conveniently created competition pathetic? Does it prove we are obsessed with all things Japanese? No, I don't think so. It just means we like certain characters, and that we just want to show it. Is anyone here on DissidiaForums going around being all 'KAWAII DESU NE'? If there is, fine. Call him a weaboo for all I care, but I haven't seen anyone like that. Also, how is it pathetic to like something, and want to express it in a manner that isn't even particularly vocal?

Moe. First of all, you thinking moe is bad stuff and is 'killing the industry' is just your bloody opinion. Don't come and tell us that its crap.

By the way, look at the animes represented in Saimoe, at least this time around. Sure, it has moe in its name, but look at the contested anime characters and what kind of animes they come from. All of them are interesting and have a storyline beyond having cute characters do cute things to a base story. The only animes in the Saimoe that I can say would ruin the anime industry if all the anime were just like it, are K-On! and Lucky Star.

I could argue for every other anime in the Saimoe League (except for those I didn't watch), that they are, in fact, not moe animes.

Just because a character has cute, moe moments doesn't mean you get to say that the animes their in, or even the character overall, is crap or a joke. If you have any character you'd like to mention is more or less entirely moe-based, then please, tell me. I'm sure you're just missing the meaning behind the character.

Not every anime is going to have an entirely serious plot with epic characters. I personally can't imagine an anime without a single cute moment.

Well, yeah. That's all for today. Need to wake up early tomorrow to go to school at 7 and make a house.

DotA 6.67

I haven't played it yet, but it seems this version is big and has some big changes. I hope I get to play it tonight with you fags, but everyone doesn't seem to want to play.

Noticeable changes and my opinions:

Bone Fletcher - Death Pact Rework (GOOD)
Definitely a great upgrade, makes Clinkz much more powerful now during ganking. Though now he doesn't quite have a super heal anymore.

Bounty Hunter - Track Visual (HANDY)
It's kind of helpful, I guess. I wonder what the visual is.

Twin Head Dragon - Armor Buff (SADFACE)Hurray, what a bitch. Now he's fat and armored, thanks a lot of Icy.

Ancient Apparition - Cold Feet Manacost Nerf (SADFACE)From 90/100/110/120 to 150 constant mana cost. This is a huge beating to the poor block of killer ice, and actually power downs his lane a lot. Now he actually needs those damn clarities.

Moon Rider - Lunar Blessing Rework (GOOD)Well, she gets a constant damage buff now instead of percentage-based, effectively nerfing her in the ass for late game. But I think that overall, it really helps her early game, though the damage should be higher (6, 12, 18, 24). The night vision is a nice addition I suppose, fits with her theme.

Lycanthrope - Howl B/NERF (SADFACE)His howl damage addition is buffed by about 9/8/7/6 damage per level, but its duration has gone down to 12 seconds from 16 seconds and the cooldown from constant 35 to 50/45/40/35 which sucks in my opinion. Kind of more helpful early, but less helpful later on. So much for gay wolves, though I guess you never really get to beat on enemies for more than 5-6 seconds, let alone 16.

Magnataur - Empower Rework and Cleave Skill Removal, addition of Skewer (GOOD)Bloody awesome. Skewer looks real fun to use and synergizes with his ultimate, Magnataur is now on my to-play list.

Medusa - INT gain Nerf (GOOD)Suck it, bitch! No more gay tide-turning farmer snake.

Nerubian Weaver - New Skill replacing Urna Swarm (GOOD)Another new skill that looks functional and fun to use, goodie.

Techies - New EXP Gain from Remote Mines, no matter of location (FUCKING AWESOME)I LOVE YOU, ICEFROG!

Well, otherwise there isn't anything interesting. That Ethereal blade looks handy for agility carries trying to kill strength or agility heroes, but otherwise it's like screwing yourself with more magic damage taken.

Sexy Techies Aghanims visual, woot.

So damn busy

In the last 9 years, school stress has never gotten to me, truly noticeably.
Until now.

With the Sec 4 ridiculous load of homework, not to mention how long you have to spend on each piece thanks to how difficult each question is, you spend most of your free time on homework whether you want to or not. Truthfully, right now I should be doing my E Math papers, four of which I have to hand up by Friday. But I'm just so damn tired from this whole.. life, thing. Not to mention I have 2 free periods tomorrow (SS since the teacher has to conduct term 1 tests for those who were not there, and Chinese because the teacher has to conduct prelims).
Anyway, one of my current priorities is to finish my long backlog of anime episodes. I just finished 4 episodes of Railgun yesterday and will watch the latest one today, and then continue on to Ladies vs Butlers and Durarara after that.

Ugh, so exhausted.

If there's one person I want to hate on right now, it's Keng Yeen for giving me that job to make a house. He could have at least asked me first, but instead it went more like:

'So what's my job?'
'You're making a hut.'
'..wut.'
'A hut.'
'...WHAT THE FU-'

Yeah, my minds are constantly filled with the thought of the entire Drama Club screwing up because they lack a hut. Damn this pressure.

The last 2~3 weeks

I got both my Final Fantasy XIII and Clavinova CLP-330 Piano.

I'm a bit disappointed with the piano. At the store I was really excited so it must have shrouded my judgement a little bit, listening to the piano now it has this certain tone that makes it sound fake. But I'm happy with it overall, since I highly doubt I could get an authentic-sounding piano that can transmit sounds through the earphone wire.

As for Final Fantasy XIII, due to CCA as well as overwhelming homework, I've only been able to put 5 or 6 hours into the game but enjoying it so far. Lightning looks a lot nicer than she did in her promotional pictures and is one of my favourite characters at the moment, in terms of both character and personality. Another character I'm liking is Hope, whom is ironically very pessimistic and etcetera. Things I don't like? How when you want to turn around to walk in a different direction, there's a lag time of about half a second which brings movement to a slow level. It looks realistic, sure, but it isn't nice to feel it.

Battle system is fun, Paradigm system is bloody awesome. I'm changing Paradigm's every 20 seconds or so, boss battles are extremely on edge since even near the start of the game you can easily be OHKO'd. Every battle is exciting because, unlike other Final Fantasy's where the monsters chip your HP down over time as you walk across the map, you're likely to be put into danger in every single battle.

Hm, I went for Scouts camp from Friday to Sunday. Nothing interesting, but on one of the night-times I served Apple Pies for Supper and under-ordered a little, since their appetites fluctuated a lot. Once in awhile they'd eat a lot and sometimes they'd leave a massive amount of leftovers. Anyway, I was disgusted to find out that several of them had eaten 4 or 5 apple pies while some of their friends hadn't even eaten yet. As for Zong's comment that we were all 'once like that', I gotta say that our cohort, although they don't know when to shut the fuck up, cares for each other. Like, even the ruggers will look out for you. We may not be the best cohort in terms of behaviour but we really look out for our people.

Otherwise, not much to say. I've attempted my A Math homework and can barely do any questions at all, which is a shame.

Something tells me I'm not finishing it by Tuesday.

C330 Clavinova, Final Fantasy XIII

So my dad decided to sell our old Yamaha (at least 8 years old, was already second hand when we bought it). The guy who checked it out and tuned it for us before we sold it away advised my dad not to sell it because it is a really great piano or something, but my dad gave some reason like 'You know kids la, like all the shiny ding ding dang dang stuff'. Of course I don't ever remember saying I wanted to sell our piano and get a digital one, but hey whatever works, right? So my family went to Yamaha the other day and I picked out the C330 Clavinova. It looks really sexy, smaller than my old one but has volume and headphone plugs and stuff, so that I can play at night. Always found it annoying how even with the mute pedal my dad still insisted I'd be annoying the neighbors, so this is good.

Other than that, I almost forgot but Final Fantasy XIII is coming out on March 9th. I'm pretty sure I'm the only Final Fantasy fan anyway, and Thomas is only buying it because he wants to fap to Lightning and thinks the graphics are hawt and sexy. But preparing my wallet for that expensive $140 game, yum.

Hmm.. I have double exams on Thursday. Maybe Danyal will let me go after auditions so I can go revise/study for A Math and Social Studies.

Refer to last post

So after talking to Thomas, apparently only Dornel thinks that way.

Come on, out of the people who played, only me and Merrill aren't in Team Ennui, and it's obviously not Merrill. Obvious much.
Of course, my statement about it being up to you whether you want me to play with you guys or not still stands.

Anyway, Founder's Day was a blast. Lots of mistakes and screw-ups all over. It was pretty funny overall, and I didn't faint thanks to eating half a Carl's Jr. burger in the morning. The Big Carl > any normal Cheeseburger any day.

Doing my homework now, seeya.

In Effect

Intentionally was a flamer last night, instead of the quiet rage I became accustomed to after awhile. I hope that makes you all realize you really don't want me to be playing with you people.

The reason I play DotA is because I like the competitiveness, which is stuff Singaporeans generally have. On the other hand, you guys aren't inclined towards the competitive side of DotA. Heck, I'm sure I've said this before. Since I only have fun when it's either really hardcore, or I win, and that I bring you guys loses all the time anyway, I don't really like to play.

Well, whether you still ask me to play is up to you but I certainly am not expecting it. ;)

this post is a reply to Dornel's 'Maybe it's just one person' post

Singaporean attitudes

If you missed the '2 Good Points' post where I complimented like, everyone, then scroll down.

Back to this post, why are Singaporeans so fucked up? I mean, I know I am one. But still, Singaporeans are, in general, egoistic, arrogant, insensitive and have no integrity. I was just on Maple for about 2 hours, playing Monster Carnival which is where you kill monsters for points and the party with more points wins. Usually Singaporeans play swap wins where the parties take turns to let the other win, so that both can get the 3x-4x reward EXP that comes with winning.

In those 2 hours, me and my party got scammed almost every single time we played swap MC. Until I had to resort to spamming stun spells on the other party to make them unable to attack so we'd win.

This is ridiculous. I'd say scammers and cheaters are worse than those flamers in the DotA community, though they may actually be the same people.

What causes Singaporeans to have no honesty or integrity?

Is it because their playing with people they don't know?
Is it because they can't get reported for scamming like that?

I've never experienced this kind of thing when I was playing Global, at least until they shut out SEA players. Even then, my friends who play Global (from overseas) never complained about this kind of thing when I asked them.

There are just too many Singaporeans who are total asshats.

2 Good Things

Since I got a chain mail recently (from someone I don't know), something about how a teacher made a class write one good thing about each classmate and compiled the good things and gave them to each student and it made them really happy or something. What is this madness

As I start out this post, I'm listening to a Chinese guy singing a Chinese New Year version of Poker Face.

Yes, it is, in fact, a link.

So I did a personality test Dornel wanted me to do. I'm apparently 89% introverted in contrast to 11% extroverted, 58% sensing, 79% thinking and 53% judging. I got the 'Examiner' personality type which is apparently someone who is loyal, dependable and faithful while putting high value in integrity and honesty. Honestly, I think I'm dependable, if you give me something to do (that I said I would do), I'd do it. Though, putting high value in integrity and honesty is something.. not so me.

Anyway, temperament is Protector which is.. not really like me.

Then he showed me this relationship type thing.

So my, uh, recommended personality types to have relationships with are both extroverts, noisy and social type, you know.

Opposites attract. Hurr hurr.

YFSGCO: Green Forms

Because I am supposed to be studying the Cold War now, but got bored after trying to create a mindmap for a History topic, and then wanted to do my Chinese but got bored before my pen touched the paper.

So, since I took a green form today I might as well do this now. Taking green forms is actually very easy, but there are a few certain things to look out for, depending on how paranoid you are and how you want your teachers impression of you to be. If you're like me, you are pretty paranoid and want your teacher to have a good impression of you so you can get out of things easily. In that case, follow this guide! For those suicidal don't-give-a-shit-'cause-teacher-is-retarded-anyway people, do it your way.

Note that after repeated green forms, that your teacher will get suspicious. Some teachers get suspicious faster than others, for example Mdm. Phua was very easy to take a green form for. On the other hand, Mdm. Kaur is easy to take from once or twice, but she will catch on quickly. You'll generally be able to tell from the feel of the teacher.

Traits of a Easy teacher:

- Gullible (VERY EASY TRAIT)

- Easy to Fool (VERY EASY TRAIT)

- Busy all the time

- Not strict during lesson, or very strict during lesson

- Cannot enforce rules for life, or very strictly adheres to the rules

Traits of a Difficult teacher:

- Sarcastic

- May seem easy to push around, but can hold his/her own in class

- Seemingly slack but is actually decently strict (VERY DIFFICULT TRAIT)

- Obviously has some brains in dealing with students tricks (VERY DIFFICULT TRAIT)

Just some things I noticed over the years. If your teacher is VERY EASY, you can take whenever you want. Even up to 3x a week, but of course if you're going to take one everyday even the stupidest of teachers will get you. If you're going for an EASY teacher, maybe once a week should be okay. For a DIFFICULT teacher, once every 3 weeks as well as some acting skills will be required. Finally, for a VERY DIFFICULT teacher, maybe once or twice in a term, preferably with a few weeks separation. You will also need to look sick. Get a friend to carry you or something, though it's only needed for the 2nd green form onwards.

Another thing would be picking which day to green form. You want to pick a day where there are preferably no practicals, and nothing important. Try not to do it on a day where you have a test because you might have to stay back the next day to do it. If a teacher, a CT especially tells you ON THAT DAY ITSELF that you must stay back for something, you SHOULD NOT take a green form. I have seen someone attempt it and it did not end well. If you want to skip CIP, then you should just not come to school, teachers tend to be a bit more persistent if you have a class activity like CIP after school.

Do not EVER go together with other friends to take a green form, the office lady will also get a bit angry, and if three or four of you go to take a green form at once, the teacher will surely get angry. I have seen this happy before my very eyes thanks to 2 very smart classmates of mine in Secondary 2. The most you can pull of is 2 one after the other, going at the same time is VERY risky and can only work on certain teachers.

Any other questions?

I could do a ranking list of all the teachers I know (I was halfway through it) but then I figured I'd rather not. This post is long enough as it is.

-Haruhiist

Exhaustion? Hell, even I didn't realise it.

You know, I took a green form after Scouts Day today. The point was mostly to get my homework done and go home, but while signing the form at the office, Mr. Patrick Soo saw me and I think he was just scolding like 4 other Ventures for taking green forms ALL at the same time. Talk about being lousy at committing offences. Anyway, he told me to get a MC and walked away before I got a chance to really say why I was going home - because I was tired. Yes, it was not because of any illness or sickness, but because I was tired.

Anyway, my mom came to fetch me and I went home. Now when I said I was tired, what I meant was that I wanted to lie down for awhile and take a break. I totally did not expect that when I got home, I collapsed on my bed and fell asleep from 11-2, when I woke up for lunch and a pear. Mm.

I guess even my totally fucked up body system can't take only 2 hours of sleep combined with continuous vigorous exercise...

...

I'm talking about MARCHING.

Well.. yeah. And in response to Merrill's comment:
Come back online or offline?

What!? You skipped another outing!? You.. you.. you WHORE!

No, really wut.

Nah, I messaged Dornel so I figured he would've told you guys why I didn't come. Basically the SMS said..

'My excuse is that I haven't done my homework. The reason is that I am feeling quite sian and just want to spend the day at home sleeping...'

Since someone (I can't remember who) brought up the 'so you were sleeping, huh' thing with me, I guess he did tell you guys.

Yeah, I'm just feeling quite sian nowadays. I woke up around 8, then sat around doing nothing so I might as well have been sleeping. Finished up a PS3 game by 1230, then the Starhub guy came and fixed my modem. I surfed netz for awhile before starting up Maple around 4 or 5, then played until 8. That's when the guys called me to DotA. Played one game and took my leave.

I'm not totally sure why I only will let myself play one game per night, it has to do with me being sick of DotA I guess. I enjoy the winning, I don't mind the losing, but I hate the stupidity of it all when I have to deal with.. stupidity.

Anyway I did all my homework except for the 2 A Math questions I couldn't do. Doing good with Trig, A Math looking good this year. Now I need to work on my Bio and Chemistry.

Taiga Pics

My shiny picture of Taiga

Loving this figure, although the base is horribly plain which is the part of the figure I dislike the most. Other dislikes include the flat face, I think the hair should hover over the face a bit rather than just lying on the face which makes it look really flat for a 3D figurine as well as how after detaching the body from the legs the first time, it becomes very loose and shaky.

I have one pic with the skirt removed, if anyone wants to see.

In regards to me walking away

Some of you may not mind me not going with you guys, some of you may think I'm an anti-social faggot for not going with you guys, some of you might not give a shit about why I didn't go. But whether or not it affects you guys, I for some reason feel obliged to write out my reason why I didn't go. Personally I think all of you are people who can understand reasoning to some extent, although there are one or two of you who won't give a shit about what I think, hopefully this is reason enough for you people.

Basically, what I learnt from December to January, especially when my friends from overseas came to Singapore, is that I shouldn't force myself to do things I don't want to. When my friend from overseas came, I was supposed to meet her (along with another guy that I had met before) and spend the day with her. The night before, they sent me an SMS saying that they were going to attend a dance competition in Punggol and that I had to meet them at 11AM at Punggol MRT. Now, I was like 'What the Fuck' because I had to switch trains 2 times and Punggol was at the end of the purple line. After consulting a few people, I finally chose my decision - that since I probably wouldn't have fun, I shouldn't bother going. After all, I'm not the kind of person who will enjoy watching a dance competition.

In more related news, the reason I didn't go is because I figured I wouldn't have fun. That is right, I don't think I will have fun spending 2 hours just going to Dornel's house to get controllers as well as the ride to Zong's house, and then followed by 2 hours of BANG BANG PEW PEW. You guys might find it fun, but I much rather stay at home and play on my own PS3. I also recently have much more homework than I'm used to (it may be regular for you guys now, but I never needed to work this hard to keep track on my homework), so I kind of want some real rest time for this holiday.

And as we all know very well, rest time =/= party time.

I hope you understand, this is truly what I think. I'm kind of becoming like Bristan, I suppose. He was quite sian whenever he went out with us, or so it seemed, whenever we went to LAN. Right now I'm feeling the same way, what would be the point of me going if I'll be bored? I'll only piss off the people that are having fun, right? I don't see a point in being there just to.. be there.

If anything, that sounds like a waste of time.

FDParade Rehearsal + Miss-Con Taiga

First I'll have a short little section about my new figure which I talked about in my last post. I have no photos because I'm dead tired and can't bring myself to go get the camera and take pictures. Basically, it's my most expensive figure at $122, it's really pretty and because of it I had to redo my figure positioning again. I love it very much.

That's all on the figure.

Today I went for the first full dress rehearsal, had no time to eat or drink anything because Ethan and Winson were camping the classroom so I had to wait there since I had the class key. In the end, I almost fainted during the first practice and now I realise I still owe Mr. Patrick Soo his $4 he lent me to go eat. Second practice was fine since I had eaten and it was in the shade.

Ah, I really have nothing to write.

I guess, if anything, the fact that Dornel has stopped bringing his PSP to school makes me incredibly bored. I don't even get to practice the new skill I'm using.

What a hectic life

I went for school, then I went for Scouts after school. I thought it'd be hardcore from what Andrew told me, but I managed to get a slack job which is just holding the CD player to blast the marching music. That's more or less what I did for the whole 1 hour 40 minutes, until 5:10 or so. Then I called Samuel several times, and then called Danyal because I had to find out how to get to KKnM because they had sms'd me that my figure finally arrived - which I was so bloody excited about when I got the sms during Geog Core; I was literally grinning and super excited in my seat - since I forgot which bus to take.

Eventually Zong called me and I asked to speak to Samuel. After some delay, I finally got to talk to him, and he told me 166. So I took 166, and I realised I forgot to cross the road. Facepalm moment much. I got off at Clementi MRT and took 105 to Dover MRT where my mom told me to stop so that she could fetch me. She brought me to KKnM and I got my figure, got a bit surprised when the woman from KKnM told me that the $102 wasn't paid through credit card, it has to be paid through cash. So I'm like, shit.

So now my mom owes me $112, $10 from allowance and the $102 because last year I paid her the money for the figure in cash in exchange for buying it for me using her credit card.

Life is pretty boring as a whole, tomorrow is that gay Founder's Day rehearsal. I hope it's cloudy but doesn't rain.

Your Friendly Sheep's Guide to Committing Offences (YFSGCO)

I'm bored, I wonder how far I can take this. This is the first post for YFSGCO, and the topic will be on listening to music in class. Some may be criticizing my definition of a offence, maybe it's not hardcore enough for you, or maybe it's too overwhelmingly offensive for your poor little mind to comprehend. But either way, screw you, I'm running the show.

Now, depending on your teacher, this can be very hard or very easy. I can pull this off even in Mr. KT's class, so I figure it should be fine. What you want is:

1) A jacket.
2) If no jacket, then you will want white earphones.
3) A small backpack, slingbags are harder to use for this purpose.

It's actually quite simple, just put your MP3 player, PSP, iTouch, whatever you use to listen to your music, and then plug an earphone into the ear which is facing away from your teacher. Put your MP3 player inside your bag, and then hug it while resting your head on the table, with the wire barely being exposed between the top of your bag to your chin. If you're wearing a jacket like the Drama jacket with a ridiculously huge collar, you can even cover your ear and sit up straight. In that case, you can also put them on for both ears, but you're fucked if the teacher asks you to stand so it is not recommended.

This has worked for the following subjects, I hope you know which teachers teach me what classes:

- English (2009)
- E Math (2009)
- A Math (2009) - not that I needed to
- Biology (2009, 2010)
- History Elective (2009)
- Social Studies (2009) - not that I really want to
- Chinese (2009, 2010)

I wonder what to do next..

Take a break, have a kitkat.... NOT

Okay, so I just negotiated with Jerald to let me skip tomorrow cause of homework issues, and just came out of tuition so I'll take a short break to write this post and eat my pears.

Recently I haven't been playing DotA with the group, there are 2 honest reasons for this.

1) Homework. Dornel may not be so affected by this, I'm not sure if he's playing with you guys or not, but our teachers are throwing loads of homework on to us. At this current point of time, I have 2 Biology worksheets, 3 Chinese exercises including a composition to do, English comprehension as well as composition and a Geography essay worksheet. Chinese actually makes up most of the homework that gives me trouble, so I have to spend quite a bit of time on it, and since I'm pretty lethargic and need a bit of extra sleep, I don't have time to play with you guys on a daily basis anymore. It's like being involuntarily serious about my work, because I don't like CWO or Detention Classes, or taking chances.

2) My skills are degrading. This may be related to me playing less, or it might also have to do with how I'm losing interest in the game. I think what I liked about DotA was the competitive nature, how you fight to win and work together to win. I know when we play together we play closely compared to most pubs, though occasionally there are randomly formed pub teams that work together. But the way you guys talk in game and how you act kind of gives off this sense of not caring about winning, which represents DotA's competitive nature. As I said, what I like is the competitive nature, so when I play with you guys with seemingly not serious attitudes, it makes me lose interest. Hence, I'm starting to not really care anymore, and so I'm doing worse. You guys are better off winning without me than losing with me, especially since I irritate so many people with bitter comments.

I think having such a load of homework is making me a lot more sober, I'm tired and lethargic everyday. It's like I'm dragging my feet through life.

BLASTED O's, at least I have nice friends like Jerald who cut me some slack in this hectic schedule.

I remember I wanted to post about something else... but I can't remember what it is, so blah.

Hot damn, I made it through an entire post without a single vulgarity.

Cornelia 2010

My second Dissidia tournament, this one actually has prizes. Entry fee was $8. The prizes were pretty neat, first prize being a wifi adapter that has a in-built system that lets you use xlink to play online from your computer (hence, Dissidia Online). Second prize is a pretty good quality little portable speaker, it's lightweight and runs on 3 AAA batteries. Last one is a alarm clock that runs away from you until you catch it while making obscenely loud noises. Tournament this time around has 4 less participants due to school stuff, so from 20 it became 16.

Nothing too interesting, my first round opponent had Bio SPA so he couldn't make it. So I got 'seeded' to the second round where I lost 2-0. But since the tournament is in the double elimination format, I went to the Loser's Bracket instead of being totally eliminated. When I got to the LB, I just plowed my way through. Dornel also got sent to the LB in the 1st round, but fought for 2 battles I think. Then by some screw of fate, I had to fight Dornel, then I won, though seriously I think he was a bit jumpy during the whole thing, and that affected the fight. After that, fought another person whom I beat in the last tourney, and then fought the same guy who had eliminated me in the first round.

Intense 1st battle that I won in the end, then during the 2nd round (the Tournament was Best of 3 for each match), he barely beat me. I switched to Shantotto and won, since I wasn't too confident about using Tidus against Cloud of Darkness again.

Finally, Finals round, I beat him 2-0, but he said he had the wrong skill equipped and I said 'okay, we can redo that match'. It didn't matter anyway because I had to fight him twice, since he was in the WB and he lost, he went into the Finals LB which is basically a second chance. He beat me 2-0, and I now I know not to fight Kefka on Pandemonium. So I won 2nd place and a nice speaker which I am now using as a permanent speaker instead of a portable one. It's plugged into my computer and has pretty good quality, it doesn't go all static when I play high-pitch and low-pitch songs (e.g. Piano songs).

Yeah. 2nd Place, woot.

Chinese test, otherwise.. meh.

So I have my Chinese Common Test (0% weightage) tomorrow, and somehow I lost my Cheng Yu book as well as forgot to bring home my chinese books. This means I'm going to fail the memorize questions, oh fuck. Whatshisname is going to get so pissed off at me for getting 0 for that section, and maybe I'll get 20% total for the whole examination if I'm lucky. The only thing that pulled me up last year was my A2 bao zhang bao dao, which I think was really lucky for someone of my standard to get.

Nothing else interesting, I have gay Scouts tomorrow, praised by my teacher 3 times now for being neat in my work, planning on keeping files so my Shana folders don't get stretched out and worn out too badly.

Ah shit, still worried for my CL paper.

Usual shit, boring mundane life yadayada.

I went to school. I paid attention, for the most part. I went to Scouts after school. I did nothing worth going for. I wonder what the hell I'm doing every day, I go to school, I do the usual good boy antics like paying attention, or at least looking like I am, I either go for CCA or go home. CCA is boring, and when I come home I play games - which is probably the only non-boring thing in my life because I just got a new game.

I played my first DotA game today for this week, not counting the ones that ended prematurely, it was real good. Getting owned and shit, but thanks to last minute team work we managed to pull through with Jon Wei acting as team anchor with his Slark that the enemy team just seems to not want to kill. My Invoker was 5-10-13 or something like that but I think I did okay considering I gave up on offense and turned into disable Invoker and did well with that, nothing exciting for me though. Just throwing out Deafening Blasts and Tornadoes with some Meteor at the side. Jerald and Thomas were also like me, a bit background, though Thomas' Astral Prisons did quite a bit and Jerald's heals and impetus' did a lot of damage too. Jingsen was probably least useful, though his poison helped once in awhile. Games like that are fun, when it's not one-sided and you kind of need to work (play properly) to win the game.

Yeah.. still waiting for my Taiga figure.

Hm..

If it comes on Friday, I will shoot myself, Scouts and all.

I should get started on the CD poster now.

This happens too often, I think I'm delusional or just that desperate.

Maybe I'm just imagining it now. I'm sure all of you have heard of at least one of my stories of a girl looking at me/knocking into me on the bus or MRT. Some of them are like the one where the bus was rocking and then the girl kept bumping into me on the pole, the one where me and a girl were just staring at each other for awhile right before my stop, then I got off, and finally the one where a girl walked up in front of me on the MRT since I was at the door, and stood in front of me for a second, looking straight at me while I looked up and down and left and right but not at her directly. That ended in her mom coming up to me and saying something with an angry face, but I didn't hear since I was listening to music.

Today, on the way home, I decide to sit down for once. I'm sitting at the back of the bus where there's a small little slope going upwards right, and then at Commonwealth station, 5 girls come on to the bus. 4 of them sit around me (there's a woman on the seat to my right, so I'm on the outer seat) and the last one wants to sit where I am, and I almost offer my seat since I'm getting off soon but she sits down. For the time that those girls were there, the girl that wanted to sit in my seat was looking at me. But I was just looking stoned, looking straight ahead, mostly because I suspected she was looking at her friend behind me, not me. Why would anyone look at me?

Fuuu-

I think about this too much. I wonder what they were laughing about. Maybe next time I should put on earphones but not listen to anything, just to see if there is anyone talking about me thinking I can't hear them. Then I can give them the Fuck You face.

One other thing also, when I was walking to that seat, there was another seat with another girl and she nodded to me while I was walking there. I have no idea why.

Durarara, Baka to Test to Shokanju, Fairy Tail

So I did another late night session of anime. Started with Baka to Test to Shokanju, followed by Durarara and finally Fairy Tail.

Baka to Test to Shokanju is basically a totally random anime with a very base plot that it doesn't quite follow. This episode was a typical cheesy romance comedy with a tsundere and a super kind perfect girl with horrible cooking. Yeah, I liked the tsundere parts just because I like tsunderes. Other wise, it wasn't spectacular, not that I expected anything.

Durarara episode was about the headless rider and her story. Was fun to watch, but wasn't particularly memorable. Interesting back story though.

Fairy Tail Episode 15 is probably the highlight. It may because I got influenced by the subbers who said it was the best episode since the very start of the anime series. I'm even tempted to go read the manga just to find out what happens after this. It's about the Ul story, with Gray and Lyon. Don't really want to leave spoilers, but it ends with a fucking cliffhanger. It kind of reminds me of the Sasuke vs Haku fight from Naruto, Sasuke supposedly dies but he's actually alive, which is what I assume is going to happen. That or Ul's spirit appears or something and smacks Gray or some shit, tells him to get over it and that it's all okay now, or Gray just stops using Iced Shell after thinking about what Ul said before she 'died'.

I'll live on.. as ice, forever.
Still have to watch Sora no Oto, Ookamikakushi, Katanagatari, Omamori Himari and waiting for the new episode of Ladies vs Butlers. Also have some homework, but fuck that, hah.

New 'Desktop'!

What my entire desk looks like now, yes that is a CDP basket
You can see the size difference between the tablet and my monitor
Look at that sexy screen, mmm

So my mom had a monitor at work that she didn't want to use, so she brought it home for me to play around with. I originally wanted to use it for my PS3 but ended up using it for my computer because it had no component plugs or HDMI to put my PS3 in. I used this monitor for awhile, it was kind of blur but still usable.

Eventually, my mom suggested I get my own under my mom's company name, so I did. What I have is the Samsung LD220G 21.5" monitor which supports up to 1920x1080 resolution. It has no HDMI though, which sucks because I can't use it for my PS3. I can still watch movies like a boss. Had a bit of trouble setting up my figures, since I had to my tablet up top as my CPU, and I'm still using the tablet speakers which fucking suck. I'll have to get speakers too. Finally, I got some Logitech keyboard with backlights, it has the FN keys and I can control my music volume and whatnot, open my music player and shit. I can even pause/play songs, skip to the next song or return to the previous song with FN keys, how fucking awesome. My brother tells me this is normal, but it is awesome for me since I've been using a hand-me-down IBM laptop and a crappy Fujitsu POS>

Enjoying the awesome life with a sexy 'desktop' now. After CNY if I have enough money, I'll buy a CPU and speakers so that I can play games like L4D and shit, even though I suck balls.

On a different note, schoolwork really getting exhausting as homework really piles up in Sec 4. I still have to do my Chinese and A Math homework after finishing this post, which makes me wonder why I'm writing at all. I didn't do anything physical today, yet I'm really tired and slept when I came back. Yeah, but at least I can do Trigonometry in A Math now, I still suck at stuff like Surds, Indices and Logarithms.

Hm. To end this post, apparently I've shrunk some 1-2 cm since Secondary One. If I recall correctly, I was 160cm back then and after taking Height and Weight today, I become 158cm. What the fuck. Is it possible for someone so young to shrink, like seriously. Also, my weight is 49.8kg, which is quite acceptable for someone my height. I can tell, because the sports people didn't laugh at me. Though they laughed at Edward whom I think is a bit overweight, like 110%. Technically not bad enough for them to write overweight in your health report, but still.

Learning Dango Daikazoku on piano, currently at the first chorus left hand. Right hand is pretty easy but it sounds screwed up thanks to a pretty much out of tune piano.

From me to you

So I come back from CDP, I have lots of anime to watch. Fairy Tail, Kimi ni Todoke, Durarara, Omamori Himari, Sora no Woto, Ladies vs Butlers and Ookamikakushi. After the daily DotA, I decide to watch Fairy Tail, Durara and then Kimi ni Todoke. The order was completely on impulse.

I start with Fairy Tail because I like the OP. I want the single. Good episode, nice cliffhanger, lovely OP and ED. Nothing particularly memorable though.

I watch Durarara next. A lot of movement of the picture on screen, a lot of first time appearances not counting when they were introduced. Love interests are sort of revealed, looks like I really am going to like this show.

So I watch my shoujo anime last, the lovey dovey anime Kimi ni Todoke. If you thought Clannad was girly, you obviously haven't watched or read this yet. I like it though, that's just the kind of thing I like to watch. It's a completely different tone from Fairy Tail and Durarara, but the episode was great overall. Loving the anime, it looks like it's going to end though. I wonder why Sawako was introduced as looking horrible like a ghost, I mean she's actually pretty cute.

Anyway, looking at Sawako from Kimi ni Todoke and Anri from Durarara makes me want to draw. See you later, children of Earth.

The Character Development Programme

I'm not going to go through 3 (4) days of activities with you silly people, so I'll just pick a few of the more memorable ones. Any names used in this is strictly fictional because I don't want to get royally screwed if the IT dept. is bored and decides to search for otaku Independent kids and finds my blog. ...HAH, yeah right.

1) I am a conquerer. I can do anything.
2) Shit down a river, swimming in a shitty river, stepping in a shitty river, falling in a shitty river.
3) I did high elements. That's right, bitches. THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!
4) Zong really thinks I'm gay.
5) Darren.. what the fuck. Also; sweaty hands.
6) Dornel hang his pants on the bathroom door. Ugh.
7) Eagle Ranch; I hate it.
8) KKnM hasn't sent me my message about my pre-order. Sadface.
9) I miss my Buono! videos.

10) Jovan (sp?) from 4.09 is a faggot. Goes on my hitlist.
11) ...lol.
12) I got through customs. ;D

Not much else, now that I'm back I'm playing DotA and going to do my A Math homework eventually.

Doing some Pre-CDP preparations

1. Getting the stuff I need like new fitting swimshorts, a PSP battery.

2. Downloading new stuff to put on my PSP since I won't have access to my computer. For example, the Durarara! OP and ED, since the singles aren't out and I like those songs.

3. Figuring whether I want to bring my homework to do or not, since I'll have to hand it up as soon as I come back.

On a different note, I think the first PSP game I'll ever buy is Valkyria Chronicles 2. If it comes out in English. If not, well, FFFFFFFFFUUUU-

-Haruhiist

CDP, shit.

I am kind of excited about CDP, activities look kind of fun and it's doesn't look overly tiring. Though, a few things I need to buy like a new PSP battery for the bus rides and shit. Maybe a new memory stick since I've been meaning to get one anyway. Yeah..

I wonder how this shit will be going down.

January 14, 2010

Apparently, this is how it works.

When I'm serious in a game, I'm a whiny PMS bitch.
When I'm not serious in game, I'm a whiny PMS bitch.

If I play properly and tell people what to do, I'm an egoistical whiny bitch.
If I don't play properly and don't help out, I'm a whiny (without talking, too) PMS fag.

If I tell people what to do without them asking, I'm a faggot.
If I don't tell people what to do when they ask, I'm a faggot.

It is admittedly obvious I have the most experience in DotA,
yet I am a clueless noob faggot.

I wonder why it works this way.

Daily Life in the life of my Life

I didn't do jackshit today. Woke up, went to school, ironically found a sms from my bus driver saying 'Be punctual tomorrow' and when I get to the ground floor I see the bus waiting for me. Got to school, normal assembly, normal first class of Chinese, found out my chem teacher is pretty cool and not that strict, went with Marcus and found out that the english teacher is called sick until today. Rejoice, free period, did some A Math in that time.

During recess, met up with Jon Wei, Merrill. Didn't do anything really interesting, had a milo packet and a biscuit for my recess. Decent A Math lesson, our teacher this year is nice and teaches way better than last years teachers. History teacher is the one who has anime pics in his slideshows, from what Samuel told me, fucking win. SS was normal, played some Dissidia during class and pretty sure the teacher saw, so I put it away. English class, one hour free period, spent 40 minutes doing my homework and then went home early.

Nothing too interesting, CDP soon, huh. Need to buy a new PSP Battery for the trips, and maybe a new memory stick.

Asura Cryin 2

What a nice fast follow-up.

Just watched the last episode of Asura Cryin 2, and I got to say the ending episode was pretty sexy. Not super memorable or anything, but certainly was like 3x better than Queen's Blade's ending. Seriously.

Misao is awesome.

-Haruhiist

GOT'CHA!

I was kidding about 3. HAH!

Anyway, Queen's Blade ending really let me down. I was expecting something epic, but I'll just put the part where it all starts going down hill.

-Demon bursts from Aldra's body-
"IM THE EVIL DEMON DELMORE! I'M INVINCIBLE! HAHAHA!"
-Angel pours holy milk on demon-
"GO GUYS, HES WEAK NOW, BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF HIM"
-Assortment of salted finisher attacks-
"NOO IM DED"

What the fuck was that.

New Years Resolutions

As usual, my goals have nothing to do with my studies whatsoever. These aren't really ranked in importance, more like what comes to mind first.

1. Learn Toki wo Kizamu Uta and Dango Daikazoku by my birthday
2. Rank in top 3 for the Dissidia tournament in February and the following one
3. Stop being a total faggot, and only be a faggot at appropriate times

That is all.

Fatigue

Now, I'm not usually used to having to do a lot of work, or having to spend a lot of time focusing on something. So after having to stay back until 6:40 on Wednesday and focus on Geog for the whole day on Thursday, I think my body let myself succumb to fatigue and I fell sick. Got a 38.2 fever, my eyes hurt and my thighs refused to let me walk. In the end, I didn't finish more than 1 question of my Geog homework, and fell asleep. Didn't go to school on Friday.

As for friday, today, I only felt better around 4 pm and because of the annoyance of being awake with a pulsing headache for the whole day, I ended up playing instead of doing my homework.

At the moment I'm still having the headache, but it's minor compared to what I was having yesterday.

January 6, 2010

My life; tldr; it sucks, well, not really.

Nothing particularly interesting. We are going to be doing the Drama Orientation Play (ACS Spirit) next Monday towards the end of Chapel. Should be a fun experience.

Our Geog teacher is mean. He's making us do our Geography holiday homework (4Qns, 100m total in essay questions alone) by Friday, even our super responsible guy (Joel Toi) did not know about this faggotry. Our English teacher is cool, she likes our discussions, even the sick ones. She's like Ann Phua to a certain extent, except she actually does something, doesn't have a down 'fro and can form logical sentences without mood swinging during punctuations.

Mm, no time to even use my new PS3. That sucks, seriously.

January 5, 2010

PS3 Slim

Lots of shit has happened over the past week since my last post. I'll make nice little paragraphs about each and every one of them.

1. Drama Orientation Play, Mr. Ferdinand Quek takes charge
- I used to really hate Drama. Boring lessons, stupid seemingly meaningless exercises and a community that talks like its totally devoted but acts like they couldn't care less. I'm looking more at the Exco other than Danyal, Zong and Joel. The Sec 4s of last year also. Our teacher director last year was unable to make things interesting for the club. Anyway, with Mr. Ferdinand Quek who was the ACS(I)S last year joining us, the club is making a decent turnaround. Orientation play was fun to do, I couldn't help but smile during and after the performance. He even made tedious rehearsals fun, though tedious. Short and tedious, ever heard of that combination? Seriously.

2. School Start, Passport Screw-ups
- Can't say much here, but my English teacher seems to already have some kind of problem against me. Kept turning to look at me during her lessons as she was talking, maybe because I'm in the corner so I'm more likely to not pay attention. I kept giving her a glare too, every time she looked at me. Maybe that's why. I was out for Drama for most of the day, so yeah. Passport won't be done until Friday earliest, troublesome for me, will probably get scolded. Also, CDP rules seem to imply that stuff like PSPs aren't allowed. What the hell am I supposed to do on the bus, then?

3. PS3 Slim, $479
- Yeah. My old PS3 broke down and after sending it to Sony, they says they don't make that motherboard model anymore, so either we buy a new one from them for $521, 1 year warranty, or we can move our old HDD into a PS3 Slim for $300+. We lose our SAVEDATA and accounts either way, so I decided I'd just stop taking school bus to pay for the PS3 Slim. I'm also getting Demon's Souls the game soon.

For anyone who needs it, PSN is Circlehard.
